Does this sound familiar?

It rarely arrives with a name.

If you recognise yourself here, you are in the right place. The clearest indicator is not a diagnosis or a history. It is the gap between understanding and relief.

A chronic feeling of being stuck.
The same relationship playing out again, no matter who it's with.
A hollow ache in your chest, or the sense you're not fully inside your own life.
Needing no one, watching everyone, because relying on someone was never really an option growing up.
What I treat

Now, let's find out what to call it.

Not a diagnosis. Three plain-language shapes this often takes. See which one fits.

CPTSD

“Something happened, again and again, and it shaped who you became.”

Repeated, often relational trauma that shapes how you feel, trust, and see yourself.

Read more about CPTSD →
Dissociative Disorders

“You feel disconnected, like you're watching your life from somewhere outside it.”

A protective response to overwhelm that became a lasting pattern.

Read more about dissociation →
Omission Trauma

“Nothing bad really happened. But something is still missing, and you don't know why.”

The wound of what never came: attunement, protection, acknowledgment.

The approach

Four moves. Each building on the last.

The wound is not only in the narrative. Reaching it requires a different kind of contact.

01Name itThese experiences were rarely named as what they are, and that is part of the wound. Precise language is often the first genuinely corrective experience.
02Map itA clear picture of the internal world: the parts that carry the wound, the parts that adapted around it, the protectors still running.
03Settle itThe nervous system needs to feel safe, not just be told it is, before it can explore. Everything else depends on it.
04Repair itGroup work and individual sessions, each doing what the other cannot. Witnessed by others who understand without explanation.

What change can look like.

Rarely a breakthrough. More often a small moment where the old pattern doesn't run, and something new becomes possible.

The hollow underneath high achievement

A life that was objectively successful and subjectively empty. She had reached every goal she had set. Nothing had landed.

She simply was. And for the first time, that was survivable.

Different person. Same ending.

His third long-term relationship ended the same way. He could explain avoidant patterns with precision, and wanted to understand why the insight changed nothing.

Closeness was no longer the same as loss.

The functional life lived at a distance

Present, functional, considered warm by everyone who knew him. But from inside, a persistent sense of watching rather than being.

He was simply there. It lasted a few seconds. It was enough to know the direction.

From clinical practice. Details are composite and anonymised.

The wound forms in relational absence or overwhelm.
It heals in relational presence.

Ways to work with me

Four ways in, one method underneath.

Individual, group, self-paced or intensive. The right entry point is established in the first conversation, not assumed in advance.

Questions worth answering

Not sure yet?

What if I have never done therapy before?

That's a good place to start from. There's no prerequisite beyond recognising yourself in what this page describes. The Discovery Call is the simplest first step, and once it launches, the course will give you the framework and language before any live work begins.

Do I need to start with the course?

No. There is a logical order to the course, the group and individual sessions, but it isn't mandatory. If you've already done significant work, individual sessions or an intensive may be the right place to start. We work that out together on the Discovery Call, and you leave with a clear direction.

How long before something shifts?

Some people notice a change in how they relate to themselves early on, not because the wound is gone, but because it finally has a name. Deeper shifts, in the feeling state rather than the story, develop through the live work. There's no fixed answer. But this isn't an indefinite process: the method is designed to move.

What's the difference between individual sessions and an intensive?

Both are one-to-one work using the same methods: EMDR, Schema Therapy and somatic processing. Individual sessions run in a weekly rhythm of 50 or 75 minutes, suited to steady, ongoing work. An intensive condenses the same work into an extended block, from half a day to several days or several weeks, for when there's a specific memory or period to move through more directly, or when a weekly rhythm isn't enough. Many people use both at different points.

Do I have to talk about specific memories?

Not in the group. The Healthy Adult Group is about stabilisation, not trauma processing: building the inner resources that make processing possible later. You won't be asked to recount memories or explain your history there. The work is present-focused: what's happening in you now, which parts are active, and what they need. In individual sessions and intensives, memory work only begins when you're ready for it.

Is the group safe, and will it feel exposing?

Both are fair questions. The group is capped at 10, every application is reviewed individually, and the first two weeks focus entirely on building inner safety before anything deeper begins. Most people arrive expecting the group to be the hard part, and find that sitting with others who already understand, without having to justify any of it, is one of the most relieving parts of the process.

Where are you based, and can I work with you from where I live?

Sessions are online, so where you live matters less than you might think. I work with clients in Hong Kong, Bangkok, Bali and across Asia, and with people further afield in Europe, Australia and beyond. In-person sessions across Asia are possible by arrangement; we talk it through on the Discovery Call.

Which time zone are sessions in?

I work on Asian time, GMT+7 to GMT+8. If you're further away, we find a time that works for both of us on the Discovery Call.

Which languages do you work in?

Individual sessions in English or German. The Healthy Adult Group runs in English.

What is the cancellation policy?

Individual sessions: please give at least 48 hours' notice. Later cancellations may be charged in full, except in a genuine emergency such as sudden illness, injury or a family emergency. The Healthy Adult Group: a full refund if you cancel more than 14 days before the start date; after that, no refund, but your place may be moved to a later cohort. The course: a full refund within 14 days of purchase, as long as you haven't gone beyond the first module.

Can I claim the cost on insurance?

Reimbursement is available in many jurisdictions. You'll receive receipts with my professional registration details to submit to your insurer. Check your policy for cover of a registered clinical psychologist.
